Aeron Chair Innovations

The Aeron chair has patented innovations such as the Pellicle suspension system and the Kinemat tilt feature.

The pellicle web upholstery suspension system is innovative both in concept and comfort. Pellicle itself is a strong but semi-transparent and flexible metal mesh. It works to evenly distribute weight over the seat and back of the Aeron Chair and permits air circulation.

The breakthrough Kinemat Tilt feature allows your body to pivot naturally and simultaneously at the ankles, knees, and hips. This enables the Aeron Chair to smoothly move with the sitter from a forward tilt position to a deep backward recline.

Advanced Ergonomics

Aeron has added a new option for the Aeron Chair called PostureFit. The PostureFit technology was developed by Dr. Brock Walker, a spinal care and ergonomic seating specialist. This option was created in response to continuing research that has shown many people are sitting upright and forward, often working at a computer, during much of their day. Unsupported, this posture allows the spine to lose its natural alignment. People slouch, fatigue occurs, and, often, upper and lower back pain result. PostureFit encourages a healthier seating posture. It eliminates the void between the lower back below the beltline and the back of the chair for a custom fit to provides full-time support, regardless of your seating position.
